Budgam, March 13:(KNS)  A day long prestigious National Level Sufiyat Conference titled & Sufism 700 Roots & in Kashmir was organized by Kashmir Society International in Collaboration with Shams Faqir Cultural Welfare Society and District Information Centre Budgam at Degree College Auditorium Khansaheb.
While welcoming the August Gathering of Scholars, Poets, writers and other distinguished including Sajada Nasheen’s of Sufi Hanfia Shrines of Budgam, Chairman Kashmir Society International Khawaja Farooq Renzu Shah said that Budgam is abode of Sufiyat since
times immemorial. He said that in his capacity as chairman, it is an esteemed blessing for me to
involve myself in reconstructing Khankah faiz Panah Sheilk-ul-Alam at Chareshareef that was
engulfed in devastating fire. Mr. Renzu Shah said that Hazrat Imam Azam Abu Hanifa (ra) had
taught the concept of unity brotherhood and coexistence, therefore the sufiyat had always spread
throughout the world under the umbrella of his pious jurisprudence. Mr Renzu complimented the
Khansahab Degree College administration, District Administration, particularly SDM Syed Ahmed
Kataraya who was guest of honour on the occasion, District Information Officer and his staff.

Welfare Society Kashmir for their extraordinary role to make this 6th National Level
conference on 700-Roots of Sufiiyat in Kashmir a great success.
During the conference all the Scholars, including Majeed Masroor, Dr. Tabish, Dr. Andrabi Shahib,
Dr. Shad Ramzan, Syed Ahmed SDM Khansahab presented their speeches in which they
highlighted the contribution of Sufi scanty.
Later a Musharia was also conducted duly participated and presented by prominent poets including
Mohd Yousuf Akash, Mohd Shafi Shaheen, Lasa Bub, Rasool Hurru, Gh. Mohd Faqir, Anjan
Kashmiri and other distinguished poets.
On the conclusion an award winning ceremony was organized in honour of the winning
personalities. The awardees presented with shawl and certificates include Professor Shad Ramzan,
Mohd Yasuf Akash, Atta Mohd AIO on behalf of District Information Centre for their sincere
support and collaboration, Gulistan News Channel team received by cameraman Zahoor Ahmad. In addition certificates of honour were also distributed among deserving personalities who missed that opportunity in the earlier conferences held in this connection at Information Department Auditorium under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.(KNS)
