Daily power cuts irk Mawer residents

Mawer, Oct 29 (KNS): Residents of various villages of Mawer Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Thursday complained that they are not getting electricity as per schedule.

According to Kashmir News Service dozens of Mawer Villages including Qalamabad, Audoora, Shirhama, Lawoosa, Lach, Nowgam, Manzpora, Chountipora,Bataghnd, Shatgund Payeen Hangha,Sudergund and dozens of other Villagers complained of unsheduled power cuts.

They said that they are only getting 2- 3 hours power supply in 24 hours and said the exams of their wards are ahead and their education are getting effected due un scheduled power cuts.

They said they are regularly paying the electric tariff bills and despite that they are not getting the power supply as per the schedule.

Altaf Ahmad a resident of Audoora Qalamabad told KNS Power development Department (PDD) should cancel agreements as they fail to provide the electricity to as per schedule.

People of the area have appealed Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Anshul Garg to intervene in the Matter (KNS)
