Ganderbal, Nov 21 (KNS): A student of Central University of Kashmir (CUK) died while another one fell unconscious due yo suffocation at their rented room in Saloora locality of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that two girl students of CUL fell unconscious due to suffocation at their rented room in Saloora late today evening.

He said that after the landlord was the duo in an unconscious state, he immediately rushed them to district hospital Ganderbal, where one of them identified as Shabnaz (23) daughter of Mumtaz Ahmad Khan of Poonch was declared dead on arrival.

The official said that another girl identified as Ziyan (22) daughter of Ghulam Chowdhury Kali of Poonch was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, medical superintendent DH Ganderbal, Dr Yasmeen confirmed to KNS that a girl has died while another one was undergoing treatment at the hospital and her condition was stable. 

Station house officer of Police Station Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad said the they were ascertaining the facts, however, prima facie it looks she may have died of Suffocation. 

He said a case under 174 crpc has been registered at police station Ganderbal, while further investigation has been take up. (KNS)
