ANANTNAG, Mar 13 (KNS) : To commemorate its 87th Raising Day, the 90th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a blood donation camp at Batengoo, Uranhall in Anantnag district on Friday.
The camp was inaugurated by Anupam Agarwal, DIG CRPF South Kashmir, in the presence of Commandant K. P. Singh and other senior officers of the battalion.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG Agarwal appreciated the officials and personnel of the battalion for organising the humanitarian initiative and voluntarily donating blood for a noble cause.
He said such initiatives reflect the commitment of security forces towards society and humanity.
Commandant K. P. Singh expressed gratitude to the DIG CRPF and all battalion personnel who came forward to donate blood. He also appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the participants in making the camp successful.
During the camp, more than 100 pints of blood were collected. The medical team and staff from Government Medical College Anantnag extended full support and coordination in conducting the blood donation drive.
The event highlighted the spirit of service and social responsibility among the CRPF personnel. (KNS)
