Srinagar December 12 (KNS): Economic Offences Wing – Crime Branch Jammu produced 134 page charge-sheet against accused – 1) Sudarshan Kumar S/o Satish Kumar R/o H No. 39 Putki District Dhanbad State Jharkhand and 2) Rahul Kumar S/o Sanjeev Kumar R/o Loyabad District Dhanbad State Jharkhand in case FIR No. 39 /2023 U/S 420, 120-B IPC P/S EOW, Crime Branch, Jammu before the Court of law for judicial determination for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy and cheating /duping the complainant - Hemant Kumar Bhat S/o Brij Lal Bhat R/o H No. 114 Sector Upper Roop Nagar Jammu of his hard earned money to the tune of Rs 5 Lakhs after luring him on the pretext of providing admission in MD Course in respect of his daughter in Karnataka Medical College under management quota.
The case owes its origin to a written complaint lodged by one Hemant Kumar S/o Brij Lal Bhat R/o H No. 114 Sector Upper Roop Nagar Jammu, alleging therein that he was lured, cheated and duped by accused Sudarshan Kumar and other representatives of Global Learning and Education Consultancy Banglore on the pretext of providing admission in MD course for his daughter in Karnataka Medical College under management quota. He was offered admissions in KLE (Karnataka Lingayat Education Society) Belgaum, St. Johns, Bangalore and Kampegowda Institute, Bangalore for which the management fees would be Rs 30 lakh and to confirm the seat, he had to pay Rs 5 lakh immediately and the balance amount was to be paid after securing the admission.
On receipt of the complaint a Preliminary Verification was conducted and during the course of enquiry the allegations made were prima-facie substantiated leading to the registration of formal case under the relevant sections of law for in-depth probe. During the course of investigation oral/documentary and circumstantial evidences were gathered and the offences U/S 420,120 RPC are fully established against the accused (1) Rahul Kumar S/o Sanjeev Kumar and (2) Sudarshan Kumar S/o Satish Kumar C/o Global Learning Education Consultancy 26, 27, 6 th Main Mico Layout BTM 2 nd stage Bangalore and the charge-sheet has been produced in the Court of law for judicial determination.(KNS)
