Srinagar, Mar 10 (KNS): The counting of votes for five assembly seats, that went to polls in a 7-phase election, is underway with BJP seen ahead in the early leads in UP, Uttarakhand and AAP in Punjab.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the counting began at 8 am today and early trends started coming as soon as counting began.

Elections were held in five states in a phased manner in Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Goa, Punjab and Uttarakhand.

The early trends have shown BJP way ahead in UP followed by Samajwadi Party, while AAP is seen ahead in Punjab followed by Congress and BJP ahead in Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur as well. (KNS)
