Srinagar, May 24 (KNS): A cop was killed while his daughter was injured after militants fired upon him in Anchar locality of Soura in Srinagar district on Tuesday.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the cop identified as Saifullah Qadri son of Muhammad Syed Qadri of Malik Saab area of Soura was fired upon by militants, leaving him critically injured.
He said that his daughter was also injured in the attack, and the duo was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The official said that, however, the cop succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while his daughter was undergoing treatment. (KNS)
