Srinagar, August 12 (KNS): A policeman was injured today in militant attack in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir.
Sources identified the victim as Ghulam Qadir who was firec inside Dara Shikoh Park KurKadal Bijbehra this afternoon.
Sources added that he was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.
Kashmir police on twitter confirmed the attack. "#Terrorists fired upon joint naka party of police/CRPF in #Bijbehara area of #Anantnag. In this #terror incident, one police personnel got injured who was immediately evacuated to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off. Search in progress," it reads.
Security forces cordoned off the whole area to off to nab the attackers.(KNS)
