Says, Jamia Masjid Srinagar be opened for Prayers at an earliest

Srinagar October 31:(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum has demanded for the opening of grand mosque of Kashmir, Jamia Masjid Srinagar for Friday prayers as the COVID 19 cases have receded now. 

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service, (KNS), Chairman JKCSF Abdul Qayoom Wani said that while all mosques, shrines, imambaras including Dargah Hazratbal have opened for prayers in view of the ongoing holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal and Covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir too have come down now, the authorities have no justification to keep J&K's largest mosque of worship -Jama Masjid Srinagar closed.

Wani said that JKCSF urges the authorities that grand mosque should be opened for Friday prayers on November 5 under the scheduled Govt guidelines for COVID 19 SOPs

 The statement said people should follow SOPs for prayers and seek redemption of Almighty from the deadly disease and other misfortunes to the people of Jand K.(KNS)
