Congress once again exposes its hollowness by playing divisive politics: Brig Gupta

Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNS): Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday said that the top leadership of Congress is resorting to deliberate and motivated concealment of facts with regards to the transfer of a Delhi High Court judge.
In a press conference held today at New Delhi , the statement said Sandeep Surjewala of Congress had tried to politicise the routine transfer of a judge by linking it to the directions issued by the Justice S Murlidhar while hearing a case against certain BJP leaders.
In a statement issued to KNS reads, “Knowing fully well that the transfer of the judge had been recommended by the Supreme Court collegiums dated 12 February and the transfer of the judge is done only after his consent is taken, the Congress leadership is unnecessarily trying to create a wedge between the executive and the judiciary,” said Brig Anil Gupta, spokesperson of the Party.
“The Congress leadership including Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi is busy in making false and baseless allegations with scant regard for the judiciary. The party which has a history of suppressing and dishonouring the judiciary and misusing the constitutional authority to promote family politics is now desperately trying to malign the two pillars of the Indian democracy. Despite the fact that the party has been repeatedly rejected by the people for resorting to such divisive and negative politics and reducing it to a “One Family” party, its leadership has failed to mend its ways,” asserted Brig Gupta said in a statement issued to KNS.
Brig Gupta further accused the Congress party of communalising the anti-CAA protests by constantly referring to the statements of certain BJP leaders while continuing to ignore the statements of its own leaders like Mani Shankar Aiyyar, Digvijay Singh, Shashi Tharoor, and Salman Khursid. Aiyar had even equated the government to “killers” when in his inflammatory hate speech he said, “I am ready to make whatever sacrifice is needed. Ab dekhein ki kis ka haat mazboothai, hamaraya us kaatilka?” The Congress leaders not only made inflammatory speeches but also encouraged the protestors to raise objectionable slogans stated Brig Gupta.
Congress for not even once has condemned the anti-national speeches made by the likes of Sharjeel Imam, Dr Kafeel Ahmad, Waris Pathan,Owaissi brothers to name a few. It proves beyond doubt that the loyalty of the Congress party lies with those who are hell bent for communal division of the country stated Brig Gupta. (KNS)
