Srinagar July 20:(KNS) Congress on Tuesday strongly condemned the firing incident at Kokagund Verinag in South Kashmir in which wife and daughter of Policeman were injured.

Expressing serious concern over the firing incident in Verinag area of South Kashmir, Congress strongly condemned the attack on wife and daughter of Policeman namely Sajad Ahmad Malik and termed the incident as inhuman and mindless on the part of gunmen, who reportedly barged into the house of Policeman and fired indiscriminately.

Congress expressed serious concern over this incident and asked the authorities to ascertain the identity of gunmen, the statement added and urged the Govt to ensure specialized treatment to injured wife and daughter of policeman.(KNS)
