Gulmarg,July 05 (KNS): In a significant bid to boost tourist flow in the famous tourist resort Gulmarg, Commissioner Secretary to the government Department of Florticulture, Parks and Gardens Kashmir, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad today inaugurated Club Park here in presence of Director Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, Farooq Ahmad Rather.
The park has been developed at an estimated cost of Rs 40 Lacs.
After inaugurating the Park, the Commissioner Secretary took a brief appraisal of various facilities available for the tourists wherein he directed to ensure that the tourists gets all the amenities without any inconvenience.
On the occassion, both Commissioner Secretary and Director Floriculture planted some ornamental plants in the said park and issued directions for planting more trees for the shade on the boundaries of park.
Commissioner Secretary also directed the officers to maintain quality of work and emphasized on the overall beautification of all the parks in the area. He also informed that a theme Garden shall be developed at the venue for which the necessary land has been acquired.(KNS)
