MATHWAR FEBRUARY 25 (KNS): Observing that close synergy between parents and teachers besides adequate infrastructural facilities were imperative for shaping the destiny of children, especially from early schools, Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today lauded the huge role being played by private schools in supplementing the efforts in providing best possible education even in rural and remote areas.

 

 “Schooling is not confined to classrooms only, it means overall growth of children by providing them good space for sports and extracurricular activities”, Mr Rana said while speaking at the annual day function of RMG International School at Jandyal, in Nagrota Assembly Constituency on the theme 'Sangharsh – the Journey of RMG'. 

 

Calling for frequent teacher-parent interactions to mould young minds towards positive pursuits, Mr Rana said much of the onus lies on academia, which has to strive hard for motivating and preparing their students to achieve academic excellence and to excel in other fields like sports, debates and other extracurricular activities. He also referred to numerous challenges for harmonious growth of youngsters in this era of stress and strain and said these can be met by providing congenial academic environments. “This is the area where managements have to focus and create a wherewithal that helps in overall development of students”, he said and expressed satisfaction that the RMG International School has risen to the occasion in recent years to have state-of-art infrastructure.

 

Exhorting the faculty to emphasise on the crucial aspect with a sense of devotion, Mr Rana said that the teachers have to be role model for their taught. “Their role is not of immense importance only in making children academically sound but in influencing their moral and social behaviour as well”, he said adding that the students need lessons of life alongside guidance on the subject matter for becoming useful citizens of tomorrow


 He complimented, trustees Mr. & Mrs Mohan Lal Gupta, Rohit Gupta, Chairman RMG International, Mrs. Mona Gupta, Director RMG, Mr Anil Pathania, Principal, Mrs Indu Kapoor Vice Principal and the whole management for organising important events like annual day in a befitting manner, saying it is heartening to note that 600 students participated in the function. He hoped that the management will maintain pace with modern trends in the field of education so that students find themselves in good stead to face the most competitive age with much more confidence and vigour. He also lauded the parents in discharging their parental responsibilities with a sense of commitment.

 

The management presented the annual report and highlighted distinctions achieved by students in various spheres.

 

Mr Rana congratulated the young RGMites on presenting a spectacular show, saying that the confidence with which the children presented various programmes reassures that they were in safe hands.

 

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr. Joginder Singh DDC Nagrota, Mr. Mohan Lal Bhagat SSP, Mr. K D Bhagat, Mr Kuldeep Singh Langeh, Mr Ravinder Singh Peter, Thakur Balbir Singh, Mr Zorawar Singh, Pandit Suresh Sharma, Mr Surinder Singh Gilli and others.

 

Mrs Meenal Rathore, the Headmistress of the school set the stage ablaze and was the glue that held the entire event together with her impeccable anchoring skills. The way she seamlessly transitioned from one segment to the next and kept the momentum going was truly remarkable.
