Honours Asian Yoga gold medalist Navneet Kaur in Kathunangal

Amritsar, August 9 (KNS): BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today led the first "Tiranga Yatra" of the party in Punjab beginning from Majitha to mark the 80th anniversary of the launching of  Quit India movement.

Thousands of motorcyclists took part in the Yatra that was 15 kms long and  passing through many villages terminated at Kathunangal.

Chugh said it was a nation-wide campaign in which the youth across the country would be taking part sharing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message of patriotism.

During the Yatra, Chugh distributed national flags among people and  called them to make "Har Ghar Tiranga" programme a big success.  

Many senior party leaders including Pradeep Singh bhulllar, DCC president Satinder Singh Makowal, Sukhdev singh Chavinda, Vikram Randhawa, Chander Shekhar Sharma, Amit Valmiki accompanied Chugh during the Yatra.

In Kathunangal Chugh honoured Navneet Kaur who had won a gold medal in the Asian Yoga Competition. He said it was time girls of the country would excel in all fields and fulfill the prime minister's message ``Bëti Bachao, Beti Padhao and Beti Badhao".(KNS)
