CCIK urges admin to keep men & machinery ready in view of snowfall

Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS): The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir has urged administration to keep men and machinery ready as there is prediction of snowfall for the next two days. 


In a statement, a spokesperson said they have urged the authorities to keep men and machinery ready for snow clearance so that the common people will not face any problem during the snow. 

The statement reads ambulances, paramedical staff and others should be kept on alert mode for any emergency during the snowfall. 

“The fast track snow clearance should be kept ready for tourist destinations like Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg so that incoming tourists do not face any problems as hoteliers are expecting huge rush on the eve of new year,” it reads.

CCIK also hailed the divisional administration for bringing up latest snow clearance machines which is the need of the hour. 

“The national highway should be kept open as most of the tourists travel by road to avoid any inconvenience for the people.”

Secretary General CCIK, Adnan Shah, as per the statement, also urged JKPDCL that electricity should be 24*7 without any interruption at hospitals, nursing homes so that patients don’t suffer. (KNS)
