Srinagar, Jan 19 (KNS): The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) has condemned the assault on three Kashmiri students inside a housing society in Kharar late on Monday evening.
In a statement issued to KNS, CCIK President Tariq Rashid Ghani said the assault on Kashmiri students is alarming and Kashmir police should immediately look into the matter and ensure their safety.
Ghani said such incidents have also happened in the past and no concrete step has been taken by the central government to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students studying outside J&K.
CCIK has sought immediate intervention from LG Administration so that speedy action is taken against the assailants.
CCIK further demanded assurances from J&K and Central government for the safety of Kashmiris studying or working outside the UT. (KNS)
