CBK organizes tour programme for students to Dachigam Wildlife Sanctuary

Srinagar, Dec 12 (KNS): The Crime Branch Kashmir on Saturday organized a tour programme of students to National Wildlife Sanctuary Dachigam in connection with celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” under Civic Action Programme. 

As per a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), in the programme as many as 30 students accompanied by teachers were taken to National Wildlife Sanctuary Dachigam by Crime Branch Kashmir. 

"Apart from sightseeing, the representatives of wildlife department briefed the visiting students and teachers about the different species of the wildlife animals, its habitat and also the underlying reasons behind increasing man-animal conflicts which had consumed so many precious lives," reads the statement. 

It reads that during the visit, a documentary on the Sanctuary was also shown to them. "Besides, a brief account was also given about the trout-fish farm and the steps, the department is taking in increasing its production to generate more and more revenue."

It reads that during the event all necessary COVID-19 SOP’s and Protocols were followed. "The students and the teachers were satisfied with the overall arrangements of the programme and have highly appreciated the event. They expressed their desire to have such events organized in future as well as it would go a long way in strengthening and promoting the Police-Public relations." (KNS)
