Gurez, Dec 09 (KNS): A candle light march was organised today from the Dawar market to the Dawar War memorial in Gurez to pay homage to CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife and the 11 Heroes who lost their lives in a helicopter crash yesterday in Tamil Nadu's Coonoor. 

A guard of honour and wreath laying was performed at the war memorial post. The candle march which was culminated at the Dawar War memorial wherein the candles were placed and homage was paid to the lost souls. 

The event was attended by the locals, Civil Administration officials and personnel of Indian Army, Indian Airforce, BSF, JKP and CISF.

The event showcased Unity, Patriotism and unflinching support of the people of Gurez towards their Armed forces.

Pertinently, CDS General Bipin Rawat along with his wife and 11 other persons were killed yesterday in tragic helicopter crash at Tamil Nadu. (KNS)
