Budgam Incident: Allegations being inquired into, necessary action, if required, will be taken, Say Police 

Srinagar, Feb 15 (KNS): The Budgam police on Tuesday said that it was enquiring into the allegations that security forces misbehaved with the locals of Malbuchan village of Magam in Budgam district.

In a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a police spokesperson said that necessary action, if required, will be taken in the matter accordingly. 

“Today at about 13 00 hours, people of village Malbuchan held protest at Magam main chowck alleging that a party of security forces while on patrol in the village Malbuchan misbehaved with locals of the village,” reads the statement.

It reads that senior police and civil officers visited the spot and talked to the locals, while traffic was also restored and situation was under control. 

“The officers assured the locals that allegations are being enquired into and necessary action, if required, shall be taken accordingly,” it reads. (KNS)
