BRO takes up snow clearance of roads leading to border areas of Uri

Uri, Jan 15 (KNS): In order to provide connectivity to the army and the locals, Border Roads Organization (BRO) has taken up snow clearance to ensure timely opening of border roads in Uri area of Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that BRO is continuously striving at higher altitudes towards LOC along Pir Panjal foothills to provide connectivity to the Army and the people dwelling in 20 villages along Isham Nawarunda, Dehrian and Kaathi axis.

National Highway is completely cleared for vehicle movement, traffic is running very smoothly and People are traveling without any obstacle.

He said 53 RCC of Project Beacon has deployed its men and machinery to ensure connectivity for administrative and logistic supplies for the Army and the administration.

The official also said that 11 km long RBDK road has snow accumulation of more than 20 feet on higher reaches but teams of Project Beacon have been continuously working even in adverse weather conditions to ensure timely opening of the stretch. (KNS)
