BRO asks public not to visit Bungus valley by vehicles in view of incompletion of road

Kupwara, May 11 (KNS): Border Road Organization on Wednesday issued advisory for the general public asking them not to visit Bungus Valley by vehicles due to incomplete road on both sides from Mawar and Chokibal.

 

Officials told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the road has not been completed yet, however, vehicles are still plying on the road.

 

“We are working to complete the road, but the vehicular movement on the road was hampering the work,” he said.

 

The officials appealed to the general public and transport unions to cooperate with them till road construction is completed.

 

Meanwhile Forest Department Langate has also cautioned the genral public that do not harm the eceosystem of Bangus Valley by droving vehicles into meadows. This act will have catastrophic impact on the ecosystem of the Bungus valley in case the same is not given serious consideration, it added. (KNS)
