Baramulla, 1st August (KNS): Bradman XI sopore trounced BCC Reds Baramulla in final match of 3rd edition of Varmul Cup and lifted title trophy and Cash prize of Rs 60000/= The said tournament was organised by Baramulla Cricket Forum (BCF) at Jhelum Stadium, here today.
Deputy Commisioner Baramulla Shri Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary J&k Sports Council Smt.Nuzhat Gul and DIG North Kashmir Range Shri. Sujit Kumar were the guest of the event.

All the Sports association of the District Baramulla were present on the Occassion including spectators across the district were also present to watch this wonderful final game of cricket.

The guest awarded cash prize Rs 60000 to winning team while Rs 30000 cash prize was given to runner-up team and Rs 10000 cash for 3rd position ,Rs 5000 cash for 4th position.Rs 10000 prize was awarded to Man of the Series namely Jehangir Lone of BCC Reds.Mr Asif of Bradman XI was declared as Man of the Match for his century of the match.

Meanwhile All three guests present on the Occasion assure the youth of baramulla to give us better platform and good sports  infrastructure in District.

While on spot Rs 5 lac were given by Deputy Commisioner Baramulla to BCF in consultation with Sports Council for building infrastructure at Jehlum stadium.While as Madam Nuzhat Gul gifted one Practice wicket for budding cricketers on spot.

In this event Guests innaugrated 2 no of Dug-outs also and other equipments which were installed by BCF at Jehlum stadium.

The general secretary of BCF,  said that the main motive cum objective of this kind of tournament by  BCF is to provide quality cricket to young and budding players and good infrastructure and keep them busy in sports rather than going to do drugs.

At last Madam Nuzhat Gul gave three slogan which were responded by all players and spectators.
