Says agenda behind new agricultural laws is to change demography of J&K

Jammu, Dec 18 (KNS): People’s Democratic Party, president, Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that the only motive of BJP behind the delimitation commission is to divide votes in their favour.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of party meeting at Jammu, Mufti said that delimitation commission is the commission of BJP and with its help BJP will try to divide votes between the majority and minority communities to further disempower the common people.

“The only motive of BJP behind the delimitation commission is to divide votes only in their favour. So, we don’t have any trust on the delimitation commission,” Mufti added.

About the arrest of Party leaders, she said that PDP raises voice against the false narratives of BJP that there is normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir, so they have to face this resentment of government.

“PDP debunks all the false claims of BJP and that is why ED and NIA is only taking actions against the leaders of PDP. Politically BJP cannot fight us, so with the help of ED and NIA they want to suppress the leaders of PDP. But our party would not give up,” she said.

On being asked about new agricultural laws, she said that it is completely wrong and it is a conspiracy to sell the land of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to the outsiders.

“BJP’s agenda is to bring a demographic change and to create a rift between the minority and majority communities of J&K. We have always heard the false statements of BJP that 15 lakh rupees will be credited in the accounts of people, 2.5 crore jobs will be provided,” she said. (KNS)
