Jammu, April 19 (KNS): Apni Party District President Jammu (Urban) Pranav Shagotra on Sunday took a strong dig at BJP for befooling the people of Jammu region over implementation of Smart City project.

As per the statement issued to kashmir news service (KNS) ,while addressing a party workers meet at ward no. 41 in Jammu West, he said that the results of Swachh Survekshan have already exposed the tall claims of the Saffron party in regards with developmental projects across J&K.

“It highly regretful that instead of focusing on ensuring cleanliness in the city, BJP leadership was more worried over raking up the emotive issues in order to divert the attention of the people from their utter failure,” he said.

Pranav Shagotra was accompanied by General Secretary Youth Abhay Bakaya, Provincial President Youth Gourav Kapoor, State Coordinator Kashmiri Pandits Vinod Pandita and District Vice President Jammu (Urban) Vaibhav Matoo.

The meeting was organized by Atul Sharma in which various other party leaders including Joginder Singh, Tejinder Singh, Deepak Bardu, Suhail Khajuria, jatinder singh, raghav Gupta and Vishal Jotshi were also present.

He also said that the civic situation in the city has further worsened after the formation of BJP led Municipal Corporation.

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Youth Wing Abhay Bakaya said that the current regime has repeatedly claimed that Jammu would sooner become a “Smart City” as it fulfills criteria for the same but nothing has been done on the ground until now and the people continue to suffer for the basic facilities.

Apni Party Youth Provincial President Jammu Gaurav Kapoor also addressed the presentees in which he said that the Youth of Jammu has become hopeless as there is rampant unemployment and the impervious attitude of the administration towards their woes is adding further to their miseries.

"The government must come up with a comprehensive program for the unemployed youth in Jammu so that their sufferings are mitigated at an earliest,” he said.  

State Coordinator Kashmiri Pandits Vinod Pandita & District Vice President Jammu Vaibhav Matto also addressed the gathering in Jammu-west and said that the people have been hoodwinked by the empty slogans whereas a staggering stagnation of various developmental projects in Jammu is on rise. The people are asking those in authorities what has become of the promises made with them.


Furthermore, Pranav Shagotra raised serious concerns over the rising cases of COVId-19 in Jammu and said that the authorities must ensure that all the SOP’s are followed in letter and spirit.

“I urge the administration to take cognizance of the situation and ensure that enough bedding and ventilators are available in the hospitals in order to fight any challenging situation if any,” he concluded.(KNS)
