BJP leader in Handwara briefs media in public day after he kept himself into quarantine

Handwara, July 16 (KNS): A day before BJP leader from north Kashmir's Handwara town announced to kept himself into volunteer quarantine, was seen briefing media in public on Thursday, triggering debates for the wellbeing of community in the area.

Report's reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that a BJP leader namely Javid Qureshi was soon seen briefing a media in Hangha area of Mawer Handwara after he claimed to have gone into self-quarantine.

The locals of the area have raised questions towards the authorities and said common people who dont have contact with covid-19 patients aren't being allowed to move freely whileas others who are having contact history are roaming with ease.

A student wishing not to be named said, "If leaders are not following guidelines , what can one expect from common people.

As per sources Qureshi had been in close contact with BJP UT President Ravinder Raina who tested postive for covid-19 on Tuesday.

Soon after his test several BJP leaders have kept themselves into home quarantine and made its announcement on social networking cites.

Sources told Kashmir News Service that the swab sample of Qureshi for COVID-19 was taken yesterday whose result is yet awaited. (KNS)
