CM must stop splurging public money on political tourism : Chugh

Chandigarh, September 7 (KNS):  BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today demanded that the AAP government should declare fiscal emergency in the state as it had failed to provide salaries to the government staff and has also stalled welfare schemes like old age pension and widow pension.

Chugh said at a time when the Punjab government was reeling under grave economic stress the chief minister Bhagwant Mann has been undertaking "political tourism"along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to visit other states.

He said the AAP government has brought about a serious financial mess in Punjab due to which all sections of the society are distressed.

The AAP government has a lot of money to waste on advertisements and other heads but is hardly  worried about families of the government employees who have not received their monthly salaries.

He demanded that a commission be set up to undertake a study on how the AAP government has wasted the state exchequer funds for the political benefits at the cost of paying the government employees their salaries.(KNS)
