Srinagar March 16 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Tuesday said only NC can take J&K out of the quagmire it finds itself in. 

Asking the party workers to galvanize their ranks to present a united front against the coming challenges, Party Senior leader and South Zone President Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri said this while addressing scores of workers and functionaries in Anantnag. 

On the occasion Block Development Council Chairman Bijbehara G A Dar, PRIs and political workers from different political parties joined the National Conference. 

Party leaders including DP Kulgam Ab Majid Larmi, Sr vice district president Anantnag Adv Riyaz Khan, DDC Chairman Anantnag M Y Gorsi, DDC Member Nisar A Mir, Gulam Haider Shah, Block Presidents Sofi Mushtaq, Mohd Abdullah Dar, G M Wani, and senior workers attended the function.

Addressing the workers Dr Veeri said, “People are fondly missing the government of NC, which led the three regions of the state to prosperity. However the  successive governments have liquidated all the gains made by the previous NC led governments. The immature economic policies and short sighted political policies by those at the helm have pushed the entire region to the point of no return,” he said.

People know how hard Dr Farooq sahib is trying to protect the unique identity and culture of J&K, he said adding, “People want these dark times to end. Our youth want to pursue their vocations in free and safe environs. Everyone knows it is only NC that can spin out the entire region and its people from the quagmire it finds itself in,” he added.(KNS)
