Srinagar, Sep 15(KNS): Raising serious concern over the safety and carrier security of Kashmir based Nursing Students in a Punjab Private University, former law minister Syed Basharat Bukhari has sought an immediate intervention of Chief minister Bhagwant Maan Singh to avoid further escalation of situation.
In a statement , the broadcaster turned politician has said, that transferring students from one college to another which -according to media reports - has been operating without registration - was a gross violation of basic and fundamental rights and the right to seek education of the students who have paid hefty donations for their studies in the university.

He said University authorities were also liable for action for cheating and risking the career of the students, should the reports of fake registration turn out to be true . Basharat Bukhari has also condemned the alleged police action on students and said such actions would further alienate the J&K based students.
The former J&K minister has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan Singh to look into the matter and take appropriate action.(KNS).
