Bandipora's Hakabara village without electricity

Bandipora, 18 June (KNS) : Bonmohalla Hakabara in North Kashmir's Bandipora District is without electrcity since last 15 days as locals expressed resentment over the power development department due to repeatedly malfunction of transformer which irks resident of the area.

While talking to news agency-Kashmir News Service (KNS), the local resident said our transformer is defunct from last more than 15 days and the department are slient spectors they didn't take any significant step for us by which we are facing many problems.

The residents said that they, especially their kids as well as the elderly persons are suffering in the absence of the electricity. “We are the labour class of the society so nobody takes us seriously,” the residents said.

Local resident said that "many times we demanded the department to provide 250KV transformer instead of 100KV but they didn't think about the issue and become silent spectators on it.

"Our PRIs holds 14FC funds for the 250KV transformer and also MP funds where released but unfortunately the Excutive officer of PDD  Sub division sumbal didn't approved the tender for us " local resident added.

Now the locals have appealed to LG Adminstration as well as district administration to intervene and resolve this on priority basis so that people will not face any problem.(KNS)
