Bandipora, 29 April(KNS) : As part of welfare activities the Army is regularly undertaking a variety of projects for the welfare of local population. The Rashtriya Rifles unit in Bandipora has distributed masks and sanitizers to local population in Bandipora area.

The 14 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army on thursday distributed facemasks among general public in far flung areas of Bandipora district.

An official said the aim was to create awareness among the masses about the importance of using masks to prevent covid infection.

Besides distribution of face masks at various public places of Yali, Sonerwani, Panar, Authwatoo, cooperation sought by various market and transport associations Etc have been taken up.

"People without face masks are being provided with masks by the Bandipora Army," he added. 

He said the people are also requested to take COVID seriously and follow the SOP's so that its spread can be prevented. " 14 RR requests that all measures as undertaken and briefed, may be extended support and cooperation".(KNS)
