Baldev Singh Raina welcomes revised education scheme for Handicrafts & Handloom sector

Srinagar May 04:(KNS)   Welcoming the Revised Education Scheme approved by Administrative Council for Handicrafts& Handlooms sector , the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir (PHDCCI) has said it will lay a strong foundation for future growth of the Children of weavers and artisans.

 
Mr Baldev Singh Raina, Chair PHDCCI Kashmir said that the enhanced revised education scheme for the children of Handicraft/Handloom weavers in tune with present education scenario will definitely provide much needed financial support to the weavers with regard to the education of their children. 
 
Mr Baldev further added that with the active support and cooperation of the government  , the Handicraft  and Handloom sector of Kashmir will definitely become globally competitive, attract large investments and boost employment generation and exports in the years ahead. 
 
Mr Vicky Shaw Co Chair PHDCCI Kashmir while  thanking the government for announcing the revised education scheme for Children’s of weavers and Artisans, also welcomed thrust given to  Handcraft and Handloom sector  by various schemes of Directorate of Handicrafts  and Handloom J&K , he further requested the UT administration to implement the other scheme of Handloom and Handicraft Sector that includes Handloom Weavers’ Comprehensive Welfare Scheme (HWCWS), National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP), Comprehensive Handloom Cluster, Development Scheme (CHCDS), Yarn Supply Scheme (YSS), Weaver MUDRA Scheme, Hathkargha Samvardhan Sahayata (HSS), Handloom Marketing Assistance, India Handloom Brand, e- commerce, Urban Haat, Comprehensive Handloom Cluster Development Scheme, Yarn Supply Scheme, Base Line Survey & Mobilisation of Artisans under AmbedkarHastshilpVikasYojana, Design & Technology upgradation (DTU), Infrastructure and Technology Support (ITS). (KNS)
