Handwara, Oct 04 (KNS): on the 3rd and final day of phase B2V3 III programme, , BDC,Block, Langate Showkat H Pandith made an extension tour of Langate Block and supervised the distribution of Sports Kits and other equipments, in presence of Visiting Officers and PRI members, in the four Halqa Panchayats of the Block where the first phase of B2V3 has ended.These Halqa Panchayats include Wahipora, Puhrupeth, Younisoo and Yaroo.
Accoriding to statement issued to KNS reads, Huge number of people of the area have participated in the programme and highlighted the issues of urgent nature. The Mahila Sabha and Bal Sabha was a unique initiative in which Woman Specific and Child Specific discussions took place and many novel ideas have been put forth for the upliftment of these important sections of our society.
All the representatives of line departments have also participated during the entire programme. Some Sports activities including cricket matches were organised at different locations and Sports kits have been distributed amongst the winners in presence of PRI members and Visiting Officers.Also a few foundation stones have been laid and works have been started out of B2V3 package.
Showkat H Pandith, Chairman, BDC, Langate thanked the general public, district administration, all PRI members, Visiting Officers and employees of the Rural Development Department for making this initiative a success and hoped that Government will take cognizance of the demands of the public and a new model of governance will come into being which is more robust, transparent and efficient in nature.(KNS)
