Awami Action Committee condoles demise of several personalities; expresses sympathy to bereaved families

 Srinagar, Nov 30 (KNS): J&K Awami Action Committee (AAC) on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the demise of several personalities due to accidents or illnesses over the past few days and who were associated with the organisation, the movement and the Mirwaiz Family.


Among the deceased include Ghulam Muhammad Lankar of Haji Bagh, Buchpora, Srinagar, who was a Naat Khwaan and well-wisher of the Mirwaiz Family since day one; Khwaja Abdul Rasheed Beigh of Dalal Mohalla Fateh Kadal, now living at Hokersar Lawaypora; a close relative of Muhammad Yusuf Bhat from Wanganpura; wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Shah of Lal Bazar, Srinagar; and the terrible road accident at Udhampur Chenani in which four people including young Maulana Abdul Hameed Rizvi, Khateeb and Imam of Jamia Masjid Sangaldan Gool Ramban, his father Mufti Jamaluddin Rizvi, his wife and young nephew died on the spot.

"AAC on behalf of the organisation and it's incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq who continues to be under house arrest for the last more than three years has expressed condolence with all the bereaved families – the children of late Ghulam Muhammad Lanker; Beigh family’s Abdul Ghaffaar Beigh, Noor Muhammad Beigh, Lal Muhammad Beigh and Aqib Ahmed Beigh, the son of late Abdul Rasheed Beigh; Muhammad Yusuf Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, and the family of the late Mufti Jamaluddin", AAC in a statement issued to KNS said and added, "The AAC prayed to Almighty Allah to grant eternal peace to the departed souls and forbearance to the bereaved family members".

Meanwhile, several delegations of the organisation went to Buchhpora, Lal Bazar, Wanganpura and Hokersar Lawaypura to convey the message of condolence and sympathy of the AAC leadership, especially of the Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, to the families of the deceased. The delegation also offered Fateha prayers in favour of the departed souls. (KNS)
