At minus 3.6 degrees Srinagar, Kupwara record season’s coldest night

 Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNS):Nighttime temperatures remained below the freezing point in the Valley and Ladakh region during the last 24 hours as the Meteorological (MeT) office has forecast that the same conditions will continue.


As per offical data, the central Kashmir's Srinagar city has recorded season’s coldest night at minus 3.6°C while south Kashmir's Qazigund recorded a low of minus 3.4°C.

In Pahalgam, the mercury settled at minus 5. 3°C against minus 5.6°C on the previous night. Kokernag recorded a low of 2.1°C against 1.3°C on the previous night.

Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 2.5°C against minus 3.0°C as on the previous night, the official said. 

The Kupwara town, the mercury settled at minus 3.6°C against minus 3.2°C on the previous night, the official said.(KNS).
