Baramulla, Dec 05 (KNS): At least eight shops were gutted in a massive blaze in Fatehgarh area of Sheeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district late last night, officials said.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that fir broke out in the area at around 11 pm last night and soon after the incident fire tenders and locals reached to the spot

He said that by the time fire tenders reached to the spot, at least 8 shops were gutted in the massive blaze.

Meanwhile, Intizamia committee Fatehgarh has appealed to the district administration Baramulla to rehabilitate the fire victims.

The official said that police have registered a case in this regard, while exact losses were yet to be ascertained.

He said that the cause of fire was also not known immediately, while further investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
