At Kupwara slain cops home,  Mehbooba Mufti reiterates dialogue with Pakistan

Anantnag, Feb 20 (KNS): The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday visited the family of the policeman who was killed in Baghat area of Srinagar along with his other associate.

Mehbooba Mufti visited the family of slain policeman Mohammad Yusuf in Zurhama village of  Kupwara district.

According to KNS correspondent, she said, "it’s very unfortunate that from 30 years our people are dying and central government is unmoved to end this bloodshed. China has entered in our land, killed our 20 solders and there has dozen of rounds of talks to reach the solution. I believe that the Kashmir has turned into a battle ground between India and Pakistan, civilians, security forces are getting killed. War is not a solution, neither gun has ever been the solution of any problem, whether a militant or cop is holding a gun, it’s never solution to any problem."
she said, "Whenever there is any issue dialogue has been the ultimate solution," she added.
She reiterated that India should initiate dialogue with Pakistan.
" Earlier when there was dialogue between India and Pakistan in 2003 by LK Advani, the militancy decreased as well violence, the dialogue is still a best policy to end violence," she said.
