Assembly elections imperative to remove socio- political uncertainity in JK: Hakeem Yaseen

Srinagar Nov 01  (KNS):Observing that Khag town in central kashmir Budgam was educationally backward area , Chairman JK Peoples Democratic Front ( Jk PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhmmad Yaseen has demanded a separate Govt. Degree College at Khag.
 
He has also demanded construction of a mecadamised road from Khag upto nearby Tossamaidan tourist resort to give boost to tourism and economic activities in the area. 
 
      Speaking at a meeting of PDF workers and prominent citizens of Khag area ,which has been recently included in Khansahib Constituency by the Delimitation Commision , Hakeem Yaseen woved to develop khag area on modern lines where people shall have all the basic facilities at par with the urban areas . While assuring that all available resources would be mobilised and pooled for the holistic development of Khag , HakeemYaseen said that the area has been neglected on all fronts during the previous dispensations .
 
       The meeting was held to take stock of the prevailing socio- political scenario in JK Union Territory and expanding the public out reach programme of PDF .
    Chairman DDC Budgam Nazir Ahmad Khan attended the meeting as a special invitee.
 
       Hakeem Yaseen said that both main road network and internal road linkage in Khag area was inshambles which needs to be upgraded on priority basis so problems confronting the local people are redressed adequately . He said construction of a mecademised road from Khag upto picturesque Tossamaidan tourest resort was imperative for reviving tourism and economic activities in the reas . 
 
PDF Chairman said since common people were unable to get thier problems solved due to the prevailing disconnect between the people and bearucracy , the PDF workers should reach out to the people at thier door steps to listen to thier problems so that these could be putforth before the concerned authorities at the highest level . He also asked the peole get thier families enrolled in the voter lists in thier respective areas so that they could elect MLA of thier choice as and when the Assembly elections are held in the JK Union Territory.
 
     Hakeem Yaseen has also urged the Centre to hold assembly elections in jammu and kashmirvas early as possible so that prevailing socio- political uncertainty was removed.(KNS)
