Says will meet delimitation commission on Dec 20 to put forth their point of view

Bandipora, Dec 16 (KNS): While National Conference vice-president, Omar Abdullah has been repeatedly saying that the NC conventions and meetings were not in any way linked to election in Jammu and Kashmir, north Kashmir Member of Parliament and senior National Conference leader, Mohammad Akbar Lone on Thursday said that these conventions are a kind of preparations for the election.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a party convention, which was presided over by Omar Abdullah, NC parliamentarian Akbar Lone acknowledged that these rallies were a part of preparations for the election. "When election bugle blows, we will be ready for that as we have been holding conventions and we are doing a sort of preparation for the election," he said.

Notably, party vice-president Omar Abdullah has been repeatedly stating that these party functions were not in any way linked to the election in J&K. While talking to reporters in Bandipora today, Omar yet again stated that these conventions were not linked to election, but on the other side his party's senior leader and MP Lone stated that these conventions were a kind of preparation for the election.

Lone also said that they will meet the delimitation commission on December 20 and will put forth their point of view and opinions before the commission. (KNS)
