As fresh Covid wave leads to a shortage of life-saving equipment,Bandipora innovator comes up with Oxygen Concentrator prototype

Bandipora, May 8 (KNS): At a time when fresh Covid wave has led to a shortage of oxygen concentrators in the country, an innovator from Bandipoora comes up with an Oxygen Concentrator prototype.

The 60-year-old Muhammad Ismail is a penchant for developing life-saving equipment. His age may be falling but innovations are growing. Earlier also he had developed a life-saving ventilator, touchless Sanitiser dispenser, Disinfect tunnel last year during the first Covid wave.
This year Bandipora man has now developed a prototype of an Oxygen concentrator. 
"As the demand for life-saving oxygen cylinders is growing, I started developing a portable water-based oxygen concentrator," he told KNS,"Normally machine being used in hospitals are air-based."

Earlier he had also developed an automatic ventilator that will help a critically ill patient to a greater extend.
"The ventilator will automatically do pumping process, it won't require any attendant," he said.

Ismail had made a number of electronic devices over the years that earned him appreciation and awards. Since 1977 he has prepared different devices including a local radio station in 1977.
As the journey of his innovations continues, the administration has yet to help him to make these innovations on a larger scale when there is a dire need for life-saving equipments. (KNS)
