Army's Bindas Premier League Concluded, Uri Team Lifts The Trophy

Baramulla, Aug 20 (KNS) : Uplona Rashtriya Rifles Bindas premier league concluded on Saturday with Uri team emerged as the winner of the tournament. 


The tournament was organized in the memory of constable Mudasir Ahmed Shiekh @Bindass who laid down his life during an encounter at Kreeri area of Baramulla on 23 July this year wherein three militants were also killed. 

The tournament witnessed an unprecedented response and enthusiasm over 24 teams participating in the league. Bindass Cricket Club, a team named after Mudasir Shiekh emerged as the winner while as Sunrise Abu Bakar as runners up and FCC Fatehpura as in third position.

While speaking on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Rayees Mohi u Din Bhat - IPS said that the Mudasir @ Bindass made a supreme sacrifice for the nation, a real hero Mudasir should be emulated by the young generation of the country.

The SSP on the occasion also presented a token of respect to Mohammed Maqsoof Sheikh, Father of Constable Mudasir Ahmed Shiekh.(KNS)
