Gurez, Dec 25 (KNS): Indian Army keeping decades long communal harmony alive, celebrated Christmas Day in Kanzalwan village of remote valley of Gurez sector in Bandipora district on Saturday. 

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Christmas day celebration was conducted to spread message of peace, harmony and joy, while distribution of colourful gifts by "Santa" among children was main attraction of the event.

“On this auspicious day, fun games like snowman making competition and Christmas tree decoration was organised. Children were overwhelmed with joy by the presence of ‘Santa’ distributing gifts and sweets among them,” reads the statement. 

It reads that while the entire nation celebrated Christmas with merry and joy today, the on-duty soldiers at LoC Gurez also joined in the celebrations with a cheery spirit to make smiles on the faces of children. (KNS)
