Kupwara September 13 (KNS): The army in collaboration with Borderless World Foundation (BWF) on Tuesday organized a medical camp in Dardpura village of Panzgam of North Kashmir’s district.

During recent interaction with the locals, need for medical assistance was conveyed by the people of Dardpura village especially for women, children and elderlies. To address this felt need, Indian Army in collaboration with Borderless World Foundation (BWF) organised a Medical Camp in village Dardpura, Panzgam. This foundation has played a pivotal role by extending medical assistance in the valley along with Indian Army. In this area where people are deprived of special medical facilities, specialists including Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, Orthopaedic Physician, Dentist, Psychologist and Medicine specialist along with 03 paramedical staff from Borderless World Foundation and Medical Officer from Army ensured med assistance to the people in this remote region at their door steps, the statement to Kashmir News Services (KNS) reads.  

All patients were received at the reception centre where they were given prescription slips. From reception, the patients were directed to waiting area for respective OPD. The camp was attended by a total of 511 people including 127 men, 248 women and 136 children. Every indl was given a medical check up along with specific med advice in the various OPDs set up. Post completion of the check up, medicines was distributed as endorsed on the medical slips by the specialists.

The medical camp was organised in a way to function smoothly as well as to give adequate privacy to the female patients with separate OPD and medicine counter for their comfort of treatment.

Nursing students of Nursing centre, Dardpura village which is being run by the Indian Army got exposure of working with various medical specialists and could apply their skills in medical camp.
