Army conducts Ex Serviceman rally in Langate

 Srinagar January 14 (KNS) To commemorate Defence Forces Veterans Day, the Indian Army successfully conducted an Ex Servicemen Rally at Langate Army Camp in Handwara on January 14, 2026. The rally aimed to address welfare related issues and strengthen the bond with veterans and Veer Naris and widows of the region.

 
A large number of ex servicemen, Veer Naris, widows and their dependents from various districts of Kashmir participated in the rally. The event provided a single window platform for the resolution of grievances related to pension, medical facilities, resettlement, documentation and other welfare schemes.
 
During the rally, representatives from Record Offices, Zila Sainik Welfare Office, ECHS, banks, Social Welfare Department, Skill Development and other welfare and government agencies were present to assist the veterans.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelOn the spot redressal of issues related to service records, pension anomalies, ECHS cards and entitlement benefits was carried out.
 
Senior Army officers interacted with the veterans and assured them of continued support and commitment towards their well being. The participants appreciated the initiative and expressed satisfaction over the prompt assistance provided during the rally.
