Army celebrates Eid with Awam in Mawer

Kupwara May 14 (KNS): Eid-Al-Fitr or most commonly known as Eid, is an Arabic term that means "festival of breaking of the fast". It is the most important religious festival in Islam Calendar and takes place in the month of Shawwal. After fasting for a whole month known as Ramadan, the day when this stringent fasting ritual is broken is known as Eid.

In today's testing times of the COVID pandemic, the charm and celebration of Eid got dampen but it doesn't affect our spirits to celebrate this pious festival with our AWAM.

Army in its true spirit of living, eating and celebrating together with its AWAM went out to mark the end of their fast by meeting and greeting the ESMs and village stakeholders of Mawar Valley. We all prayed together for the speedy recovery of the nation.

May this end of fast also marks the end of Coronavirus. While celebrating this festival it was ensured that all the covid protocols were adhered to and the exchange of sweets was through smiles and a sense of gratitude in the heart.()KNS
