Kupwara, Nov 20(KNS): Security forces on Sunday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition at Panjtarain area of Karnah in north kashmir's Kupwara district.
An official said that following specific intelligence input by agencies regarding presence of arms and ammunition, a joint parties of Police and Army during the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday launched search operation during which arms and ammunition including one pistal, two pistal magzines, 16 Pistal bullet , 2 hand granade two detonator were recovered from the residential house of Rafaqat hussain shah son of Sayed Akbar shah.
"However taking advantage of the darkness the accused managed to escape," the official said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to arrest him. Meanwhile Case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation taken up.(KNS).
