Srinagar, Oct 27 (KNS): Apni Party Youth Wing Kashmir on Wednesday organised a day-long convention at its Central office in M2 Church Lane, Srinagar wherein youth participated across the Kashmir division.

The convention was organised by Apni Party Youth Provincial President Kashmir Khalid Rathore which was presided over by Apni Party Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir.

Besides, Apni Party State Secretary Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, District President Ganderbal Javid Mir, DDC Member Tral & Apni Party Provincial Secretary Avtar Singh, DDC Vice Chairman Shopian and Youth General Secretary Irfan Manhas, District Vice President Srinagar Ajaz Rather, Coordinator Youth Outreach and Capacity Building Program Tariq Mohi-ud-din, Provincial Youth Secretary Imran Bhat, Provincial Youth Organiser Adil Bhat, District Youth President Srinagar Mohsin Zaffar Shah, Provincial Convener Youth Wing Shoaib Muhammad Dar and Party Youth Leader Muneeb Quraishi.

Addressing the gathering, Mohammad Ashraf Mir said that youth is a global agent of progressive change and social well-being of any civilized society.

“Apni Party has always remained at forefront for raising the pressing concerns of the youth before the Government. Since the inception of our Party, we have resolved numerous issues faced by the youth in Jammu and Kashmir may it be with regards to safeguarding their job rights or age-relaxations in civil service exams, Apni Party has actively become the voice of youth,” Mir said.

During the convention, Youth General Secretary Irfan Manhas also laid stress on the need for empowering the youth of Jammu and Kashmir who have been regrettably neglected by the previous governments.

“No political party in J&K ever took serious pains for the welfare of youth even though they remained at the helm of the affairs. The deplorable condition of youth and rampant unemployment has been a direct result of their criminal negligence towards youth and Apni Party is resolute in its efforts for making a positive change,” he said.

Youth Provincial President Kashmir Khalid Rathore also addressed the gathering saying that Apni Party is a people-centric and youth-centric party where everyone can join and help to build a progressive Jammu and Kashmir.

“The Party is governed by democratic principles that outrightly reject family rule or nepotism. Everyone is welcome here to lead and be a part of an envisaged change which will usher in a new era of peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir,” Rathore said.

On the occasion, National Conference Block President Sonwar Mohammad Younis also joined Apni Party. The Party Leadership welcomed the new entrant into the Party-fold and impressed on him to work diligently for the public welfare. (KNS)
