Apni party won't field candidates against AIP candidates in DDC polls: Reliable sources

Srinagar, November 19 (KNS): Altaf Bukhari led Jammu and Kashmir Apni party( JKAP) had decided not to field any candidate at those seats where Engineer Rashid's party Awami Itihad party (AIP) will field it's candidates.
Reliable sources told to KNS, that, JKAP party leadership has decided not to field any candidate against engineer Rashid's party in upcoming BDC polls.
Interestingly there is not a seat-sharing agreement between the two parties. However Apni party has sought release of all Political leaders including engineer Rasheed.
At present there is a seat sharing agreement between Parties associated with PAGD.

Rashid was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on August 9—four days after New Delhi revoked special status of the erstwhile state—in connection with a “terror funding” case in Kashmir.Rashid was the first mainstream leader to have been arrested by the NIA in the case. He’s still under detention in New Delhi’s Tihar jail.Before his arrest, Rashid was vocal in advocacy of Kashmir issue. Despite being the mainstream leader, he was pitching the demand of the “right to self-determination” and has faced music for his unconventional style of politics (KNS)
