Apni Party will send cases of jailed youth to Govt. review committee for reconsideration: Ab. Majeed Padder

Kulgam Nov 17 (KNS): J&K Apni Party senior leader and Chief Coordinator Abdul Majeed Paddar on Thursday said the committee's formed to fetch details of jailed youth will refer the cases to the government review committe so that the process of their release will be taken up. He said that the party is ready to fight for their release by any legal means.

Speaking to media person in Damhal Hanjipora Kulgam, the Apni Party leader said that provincial committee's formed to follow up the cases of jailed persons of J&K will refer the cases to government review committe. "Once we collect the details of jailed youth lodged in and outside J&K, the party will send these cases to government review committe for reconsideration so that their process of release will be taken up in an organised manner", he said.

"Some of them (jailed persons) have been arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and many of them may have served their prison terms, and now deserve to be released. We will refer these cases to the government review committee and proceed for their release", he said.

He said the party is ready to fight for their release by any legal means. He however criticised the government for claims of development, saying "after the removal of Article 370, Damhal Hanjipura was neglected for construction and development works". He also said when he was a minister, all the foundation stones of the projects were laid by our government but unfortunately all the projects are still incomplete. He said the work of the bridge worth crores of rupees under construction in Damhal hanjipora has also stopped and during the winters, Damhal hanjipora will be disconnected from the district headquarters during raining days. 

Padder said that several ministers of the central government came on a visit to J&K and crores of rupees were spent but nothing was spent on construction works. He said there is a shortage of electricity in the area and the entire Damhal Hanjipura tehsil is deprived of electricity. (KNS)
