Party celebrates its foundation day at Gandhi Nagar, all District Headquarters across Jammu Province

JAMMU, MARCH 08:(KNS)  Apni Party, Senior Vice President and Former Cabinet Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that the Party has emerged as a ray of hope in the atmosphere of hopelessness in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing Party leaders and workers at the Party office following flag hoisting ceremony, Mir said that the Party was founded when there was complete vacuum and an atmosphere of hopelessness in J&K and no one was ready to speak for the general public.

In these difficult circumstances, he said, the foundation of Apni Party was laid on March 8, 2020 by its President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari and gradually it became a movement towards the development and equality of all the regions of J&K.

He said that “We have founded the Apni Party to address public issues and all sections of society equally. It is because of the efforts of the Party leaders and workers that we have emerged as a ray of hope for the hopeless people of J&K.”

He said that “Our fight is against the communal, violence, religious and regional bias. Hence, the Party’s agenda is getting sympathy from all sections of society in all the regions.”

He however appealed to the Govt of India to restore the Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as the people are feeling disempowered and downgraded with the Union Territory Status.

“The Govt must hold timely holding of assembly elections in J&K as there is growing feeling of alienation from the present form of governance. The Govt of India should address the emotional and sentimental issues of the common people by announcing assembly polls and restoring Statehood to J&K as soon as possible,” he added.

He said that “BJP has deprived J&K from the democratic system by keeping the system in the hands of Lt Governor and our natural resources have been handed over to the outsiders. We have always demanded restoration of democratic system in J&K to win the confidence of the people as they have lost their hope and the present administration has no connection with the general public.”

Meanwhile, Apni Party Vice President and Former Cabinet Minister, Choudhary Zulfikar Ali said that “Apni Party has become a voice and aspiration of the people of J&K at regional as well as Sub-Divisional Level.

He said that “This Political Party was founded at a time when there was no other voice of the people and every leader was hiding to raise basic issues for the general public.”

“There were apprehensions among the people about change in demography in the erstwhile State, a sense of insecurity about jobs and land. It has become a vibrant force to ensure protection of the interest of the people to protect natural resources and jobs,” he added.

Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included State General Secretary Vijay Bakaya, State General Secretary, Vikram Malhotra, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh, Spokesperson Senior Adv Nirmal Kotwal, Provincial Secretary Dr Rohit Gupta, Provincial Organising Secretary Shanker Singh Chib, Provincial Joint Secretary Kulwant Singh, President, Raman Thappa District President Samba Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi, State SC Coordinator Bodh Raj Bhagat, State OBC Coordinator Madan Lal Chalotra, ST Wing President J&K Saleem Choudhary, State Vice President Youth Wing Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, State General Secretary Youth Wing Abhay Bakaya, State Secretary Partap Singh Jamwal, Provincial President ST Wing Choudhary Shabir Kohli, Provincial President, Apni Trade Union, Raj Kumar Sharma, Provincial President Legal Cell, Vikram Rathore, Provincial President Youth Wing Vipul Bali, senior leader Arun Chibber, Provincial Vice President Women Wing, Jyoti Vaid, Vice President Woman Wing Rupali Rani, Provincial Secretary Woman Wing, Adv Nisha, District Vice President Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo  surdeesh Raina District General jammu, Deepak Bardu District organizing Secretary, Asharaf Choudhary  District sectatary Jammu, Mohd Asif District sectatary, Joginder Singh Provincial sectatary, Vishal Joshi Provincial sectatary, Aninurdh vasist District President Trade union, Shivam choudhary District President Youth wing, Atinder singh, Charanajeev, Ankush dogr, Archana koul, Abhinav Gupta, Tanveer Iqba, Vivek supari, Prem Singh jaspal singh sukhinder singh Suraj parakash chand.
