Anantnag, Nov 30 (KNS): JK Apni Party senior leader and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir on Monday said that party believes in reconciliation for resolution of long standing issues however he maintained that we can only utilise our efforts and resolution lies with New Delhi.

Mir who spoke exclusively to KNS on the sidelines of a workers convention in south Kashmir's Anantnag district said that JK Apni Party does not believe in violence but to involve stakeholders into a reconciliation process. He said whatever the issues of Jammu and Kashmir are yet to resolved, JKAP want to take up such issues in a reconciliation way.

He said the party started its public reach out initiative which was widely welcomed at grass root level as people are fed up from traditional politics. "People are virtually fed up from traditional politics and want a party which can represent their whims and wishes", he said.

To a query, the JKAP senior leader said that it is our belief that decisions taken on August last year were against the expectations of people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the matter is currently sub-judice and we hope a good verdict will come out from this apex institution which will accomodate the concerns of people of J&K.

He said people's concern should be addressed and protected like rights of job, land etc. "People are disempowered till statehood is not restored to JK", Mir added.

Hitting hard to PAGD, Mir said that those had given mandate to protect the rights of J&K have miserably failed while performing their duties as they prefferred to run away that moment.

He added that Apni Party will take care of people of Jammu and Kashmir and their rights with utmost responsibility. (KNS)
